In search of waterfalls and orchards
On our 5th and final day in Vermont, we went in search of waterfalls and apple orchards. We didn't find any waterfalls, and the apple orchard near us was closed! So, we spent some time at Sugarbush Farm and learned how they make pure maple syrup! We also tasted some amazing Vermont cheddar and bought some aged cheddar for a quick snack. We also got some pure maple syrup to bring home! A highlight of our trip at the farm was running into a fellow Aggie! We talked some--my Aggie brother and his wife now live in Austin, TX, and they are both retired educators! As we parted, I thought about how lucky I am to be a part of the Aggie family--we are everywhere and always genuinely excited when we run into a fellow Aggie! I forgot to take a picture! We have dinner reservations tonight at an Inn in Woodstock, but I an not feeling my best, so I we came back to the condo so I can rest! Tomorrow we head to Boston to spend the weekend! I absolutely love Vermont, and we leanred it is only a 14 hour drive from my house to Killington---we may look at investing in a condo we can summer here! in any case, we have had a wonderful trip, and I am sad to leave! Thank you, Vermont for some wondeful memories! You are as beautiful and wonderful in real life as I akways imagined you woukd be!
